To me anyone who gives such an excuse is a loser who isn't willing to try and overcome their weaknesses. I lost sight in my right eye a few years and I felt uncoordinated, out of balance when it first happened, but I worked hard to overcome my disability and now I can do as much as any other person who can see with both their eyes.
When I was in highschool, my grades weren't good and I wasn't doing well in classes but a friend of mine encouraged and helped me out and I was able to get excellent grades. He taught me that if I had a hobby or interest, then I should be either the best or the worst at it because being in the middle is mediocre. And I'm a person who doesn't like to lose so I decided I would be the best at everything.
